LF (125 KHz) is used for legacy access systems and animal tagging. HF (13.56 MHz) covers Mifare, NFC, and metro/payment cards. UHF (860–960 MHz) gives long read range — used for toll payment and asset tracking.
Mifare Classic is functional but its Crypto-1 algorithm has known weaknesses. For new deployments — especially access control and payments — we recommend Mifare DESFire EV2/EV3 with AES-128 encryption.

Yes. NFC is a subset of HF (13.56 MHz) RFID. A single Mifare DESFire or NTAG card can be used for both office access and tap-to-share NFC interactions.
